"Break a Leg !"

Started in 2006 by Joan Lucas as the Mt Shasta Senior Theatre, Joan’s vision was to offer those that were “up in years”, an opportunity to spread their wings again or perhaps for the first time.  In a creative setting of acting, singing, dancing, and having fun it was designed to bring a new theatre of entertainment to Siskiyou County, Ca.

In the summer of 2011, after being an actor and assistant to the director since the beginning I became the Instructor/Director. Over the years we have performed over 50 shows in just about every corner of Northern California. With “These Are The Good Old Day’s”, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Bingo”, “Prime Time Follies”, “The Angina Chronicles”, “Still Crazy After All These years”, “The Sunset Gang Rides Again”, “We’re Not Quite Dead Yet”, “The Jefferson State Follies”, and “Aged to Perfection”, the company has continued to grow.” Their motto is: “If it isn’t fun we won’t do it.”

We take short versions of our shows on the road for, schools, fund raisers, nursing homes, and special occasions, we have enjoyed a variety of audiences and have had a lot of fun.

Theater-goers' comments included:   “With Characters like Dolly Adorable, Freddie Skidmarker, and Martha Stewed, your show was awesome.  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  It was inspirational, wonderfully conceived and tremendously entertaining. "  Bob S.

“I came home feeling hopeful and full of gratitude to our elders in the community for sharing their insight and wisdom, humor and compassion. "   Meadow B.

“As a woman who just turned 50 and was having a hard time being 50, your production seemed to put it all in perspective!  I am no longer fearful and insecure about my age.  Your production of, “These are the Good Old Days” , was fantastic.  It was truly an inspiration to me. "   Donna M., Alberta, Canada

And from a teacher:  “The show you brought to our school was presented with professionalism and heart, and was a remarkable opportunity for our children to experience the talent and vitality of members of our senior community. ” Julie B.
